Youth Ministry International

Dr Randy Smith is the President and Founder of YMI.

Randy served for 30 years as a local church youth pastor in 3 churches between 1970 and 2000. His first ministry church in Ohio had only 90 members, while his last church had an attendance of over 9,000 and more than 1500 students.

Randy has taught Youth Ministry courses at 5 Schools in the U.S. and at seminaries in the countries of Kenya, Tanzania, Ukraine, Mexico, Cuba, and Malaysia. Most recently (2000-11), he served as associate professor of youth and missions, and associate director of the International Center for Youth and Family Ministry at the Southern Baptist Theological Seminary in Louisville, Kentucky. Though Randy has always led YMI’s ministry, he now dedicates his full-time service to YMI as its president.

Randy started YMI in 1990 after conducting a youth ministry training seminar in Kenya Africa where he saw 26 nationals surrender to the call to youth ministry and subsequently request training…. and the rest is history.

Randy is married to Lynn, and they have 3 sons and 5 grand children.

Mrs. Anna McMullen is serving as the office administrator for YMI in Lousiville KY at our World Headquarters. She has been serving on staff for 3 years. She handles the daily operations of the office.

Ms. Ann Howells serves as the Accountant Manager for Youth Ministry International. She serves faithfully on a weekly basis to maintain the financial records for the organization.

Joyce Smith, CPA is serving Youth Minsitry International as our primary accountant. She has over 28 years of experience in this field. Joyce is a senior partner at Ecken & Smith, P.S.C.

Youth Ministry International has been blessed with a group of men and women that see the vision and serve faithfully on the board. To serve on our board, each board member makes a three year committment help carry out the mission of the organiztion and overseeing its management and direction.
