Today, I am writing from Kathmandu. I wore my Youth Ministry International Vice-Presidential hat this past week as I traveled to the capitol city of Nepal to train the country’s first set of youth ministry trainers. Our mission has been teaching Masters level courses at Himalya Theological Seminary for the past 3 years. When this group of 7 students completes their course work in June, they will be certified to teach at several Bible colleges in the country. I taught a practical course entitled “Speciality Programming: Youth Camps and Missions.” I had a wonderful time encouraging the students pictured above. We drank Nepali tea in the classroom as we discussed ways that camping and mission trips could be improved to reach and disciple teenagers in the Nepali context. It was fun to share examples from Ukrainian youth ministry throughout the course. Please pray for each one of them as they seek opportunities to train other youth leaders in the region.
